Petr Novotny glass

Petr Novotny, born January, 1, 1952 in The Czech Republic. World famous designer and gaffer. From an early age till today he has participated in many symposia around the world i.e. in Japan, Switzerland, USA. He is primarily linked to Nowy Bor city in The Czech Republic where he was educated at Secondary Art Glass School. Later, he worked as a tutor and now he runs his private art school "Ajeto". Petr Novotny has collaborated with leading designers and gaffers i.e. René Moskovitz, Dale Chihuly, Marwin Lipofski, Edward Leibowitz, Willem Heesen. He is listed by experts among  top three world class personalities in the field of glass.

You will have the chance to observe Petr Novotny at work during the the show of smelting techniques of forming glass on Saturday between 16.00-20.00 and on Sunday between 13.00-18.00 at the The Academy of Fine Arts and Design at 19/21 Traugutta Street. The artist will be accompanied by Daniela Prokesova and Ondrej Novotny.
