Artists of Festival of High Temperatures 2015 – Markos Georgilakis

Markos Georgilakis (born 1957) is a Greek sculptor, assistant professor at Athens School of Fine Arts.

In his works he looks into relations between the bronze casting process, the process of sculpture creation and the Greek mythology. He perceives the process of melting and casting bronze, which has not basically changed throughout ages, as the universe of meaning. For many years he has run casting workshops in Greece and abroad.
